At Above Board Log Home Restoration, we pride ourselves on providing quality craftsmanship and professional advice for the restoration of your home. We take the time needed to find out what our clients want and what the house needs. Then we do not rush the restoration process as we feel it is important to be aware of all the large and small aspects of a project. We travel extensively throughout BC, Alberta, and Western Canada, rejuvenating and restoring log, post and beam timber frame, and wood-sided homes.
Our Process
We give your home the care it deserves
We begin our process by blasting the logs or wood with recycled eco glass that removes old surfaces, finishes, mold, water stains, and weather damage from the wood. Next, we sand wherever needed to prep the surface for staining. We use stains from SANSIN, a Canadian company with excellent high-quality stains explicitly made for logs and wood. These finishes will protect and enrich the home. We then apply chinking and/or energy seal between the logs. Chinking stops water, bugs, and moisture from penetrating the home.
